The St Ninian Confirmation Course was developed by Fr David and Alison Green in conjuction with Fr Simon Evans to update the previously existing course and with the intention of involving parents/carers of young people as primary catechists.
Thus The St Ninian Confirmation Course, as it now stands, has a focus on family catechesis and evangelism and we have found that many of the parents/carers involved have also grown and developed through the course.
The course consists of twelve sessions, each of which have been carefully crafted to provoke important questions about the Christian faith, as well as engage the children and parents who follow it. Each session includes worksheets for the candidates and for parents/carers, to be taken away and looked at together during the following week, a worksheet for the leader and detailed suggestions for how to enhance the session, including suggested readings and prayers for incorporating worship into the course. We expect that the Course will be downloaded and printed for use as teaching resources. As such, we grant permission for reproduction on these grounds.
