About St Ninian

We were inspired by the life of St Ninian and his activities as an evangelist and missionary during a visit to Whithorn in around 1995. The archaeological dig is extensive and is a fascinating investigation into the history of what was a centre of Christianity and monasticism in the 5th and 6th centuries.
